What is Residential Treatment?

Residential treatment offers a supportive, long-term environment for recovery, distinct from short-term, inpatient care. Our program at Mount Juneau Counseling & Recovery spans six months or more, allowing individuals to immerse themselves in a range of therapeutic activities and build a solid foundation for lasting recovery.

Our approach emphasizes holistic care, integrating counseling, group therapy, and other supportive services to help each individual on their healing journey. We use this comprehensive strategy to address challenges while also equipping our clients with tools for ongoing recovery. We also take steps to foster a collaborative community with a nurturing atmosphere, helping everyone feel safe and supported while they’re here.

Inpatient treatment typically lasts one to three months and focuses on acute care and stabilization, unlike long-term residential treatment. While both treatment types are important and useful, residential treatment provides a more enduring solution for those looking to rebuild their lives in a supportive setting.

Services Included in Residential Treatment Programs

Mount Juneau Counseling & Recovery offers a comprehensive residential treatment program for all our clients. Those in our care engage in individual counseling to address personal challenges and develop effective coping strategies. Our group therapy sessions provide a platform for shared experiences and peer support that can offer understanding, validation, and empowerment.

Our program also includes holistic treatments such as mindfulness and stress management workshops, promoting overall well-being. This approach sets residential treatment apart from inpatient or outpatient programs, which often prioritize immediate medical needs over long-term recovery strategies.

What is 3.1 Residential Treatment?

A 3.1 residential treatment program represents a specific level of care within residential substance use treatment services. It offers a structured environment that blends therapeutic support with community living, helping those who need stability and support without the intensive medical supervision of inpatient care.

This level focuses on developing life skills, building resilience, and strengthening recovery networks. Residents gradually reintroduce themselves to daily responsibilities and social interactions, making for sustained recovery.

Who Can Benefit from 3.1 Residential Treatment?

3.1 Residential treatment suits those who have completed an inpatient program or seek more structure than outpatient services offer. It is ideal for those motivated to engage in their recovery but desire additional support to maintain progress.

This treatment benefits individuals who thrive in a community setting where they can receive encouragement and accountability from peers and professionals. The program helps individuals build a strong foundation for recovery, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to transition back into everyday life.

What to Expect from Residential Treatment

The intake process at Mount Juneau Counseling & Recovery starts with a thorough assessment to understand each person’s unique needs and goals. We don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach; every treatment plan is created to support individual recovery journeys. One person may require a low-intensity level of treatment while another needs a higher intensity.

Clients follow a structured daily schedule of therapy sessions, educational workshops, and recreational activities. Consistency and routine help build new, healthy habits. Living on-site provides continuous access to support and resources, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Residing in Recovery House allows individuals to focus entirely on recovery without daily interruptions. This provides an immersive experience that supports long-term success.
